We’ve made an addition to the family this weekend. One of the four-legged variety.
Gracie the pomeranian has taken up residence here at Casa Varner. She’s ten months old and is this amazing combination of black, white and a little bit of brown. In other words, just as cute as she can possibly be, given that we already had the cutest dog ever in the guise of Chester, who was the sole ruler of the house.
Gracie had been a house dog, who had never been outside to do…well, what dogs usually do outside. So she has already had a life altering experience. It also turns out that Miss Gracie is also something of cuddler, content to sit in a lap or sleep laying against someone on the couch.
I admit that I wasn’t all that thrilled at the prospect of having another dog. But the women of the house felt like Chester needed “a buddy”.
No word from Chester on what he thought he needed. But everyone endlessly fawning over the new puppy probably wasn’t at the top of his list.
They will eventually unite and rule your roost.
